Victoria Theatre Association's annual salute to classic Hollywood is back with the 2012 Cool Films Series at the Victoria Theatre, beginning June 29 with THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING, THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING!

Victoria Theatre Association invites you to the 2012 Cool Films Series presentation of the iconic film, CLEOPATRA, July 13 - 15, 2012 at the historic Victoria Theatre. CLEOPATRA stars the enchanting actress Elizabeth Taylor with Richard Burton and Rex Harrison.

Performance Workshop Theatre presents the return of their award winning 2009 production of Sir John Gielgud's celebrated Ages of Man, directed by Marlyn G. Robinson. Opening on March 30th and running through tonight, April 22nd, Ages of Man features Shakespeare's monologues and sonnets on the themes of Youth, Manhood, and Age.

The Drama League has gathered together a team of Broadway's best to serve as Honorary Co-Chairs for the 78th Annual Drama League Awards set for Friday, May 18, 2012 at 12:00 p.m., at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway). The Ojai Playwrights Conference announced today additional stars to its 15th Anniversary Season Gala Benefit themed "Body and Soul: An OPC Cabaret" - A Musical and Theatrical Celebration of the Mystery, Magnificence and Madness of Living! Today we are completing our triptych look at the leading ladies of the new BAM production of RICHARD III, directed by Sam Mendes and starring Kevin Spacey, with a solo spotlight on a stage and screen star known for her wide range of roles in dramas, comedies, musicals, television and film - the one and only Haydn Gwynne. In addition to all about her intense preparation for her role in the searing and prescient Shakespearean historical tragedy, Gwynne also recounts her experiences working with Mendes, Spacey and the previous ladies who have participated in this RICHARD III spotlight with whom she shares the stage every night now through March 4, Gemma Jones and Maureen Anderman. Besides all about RICHARD III and its international tour begun at the Old Vic in London's West End and ending up in New York at BAM, Gwynne and I also discuss her recent stage work in Elton John and Lee Hall's Tony-winning international hit BILLY ELLIOT and working with theatre and film director Stephen Daldry on it, as well as some remembrances of her other notable stage and screen roles, old and new - prior musicals (such as CITY OF ANGELS), as well as her recent guest-starring stint on the hit BBC series SHERLOCK included, as well as a look ahead to her new feature film, HUNKY DORY, starring Minnie Driver. Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), together with the British Council and the National Commission for Culture and Arts, presents the first-ever Filipino adaptation of William Shakespeare's more renowned tragedy HARING LEAR(KING LEAR) at PETA Theatre Center until Sunday, March 4. National Artist for Literature Bienvenido Lumbera does the text adaptation and veteran theater director Nonon Padilla directs this production.
