Matthew Dunster will direct the Globe's first full-scale production of Troilus and Cressida this summer, featuring Olivier Award-winner Matthew Kelly as Pandarus, with Laura Pyper and Paul Stocker as the ill fated lovers Troilus and Cressida. Other casting includes Jamie Ballard as Ulysses and Paul Hunter as Thersites. Set during the latter years of the Trojan War, Shakespeare fills his ancient tale with savage comedy, great passion and vivid characters.

It was announced today that producer Jordan Roth has succeeded Rocco Landesman as President of Jujamcyn Theaters, the owner and operator of five major Broadway theatres. Roth, 33, takes over leadership of the organization which Landesman presided over from 1987 until his recent confirmation as Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts on August 7. Roth is also acquiring a 50% ownership interest in the privately held company.

Theatre legend Patti LuPone has once again stopped a show cold. The incident took place June 21, while the actress was performing her brand-new show, Gypsy In My Soul, at the Orleans Showroom in Las Vegas. While introducing the iconic 'Don't Cry For Me, Argentina' LuPone noticed an audience member texting on his cell phone. Watermill's SUNSET BOULEVARD Sings 'Goodbye' to West End 5/30

Sunset Boulevard at the West End's intimate Comedy Theatre closes today May 30, 2009. UK theatre sources are reporting that plans are in the works to launch a UK tour in early 2010 as well as some talk of bringing the production to New York, but no official announcement has yet been made.
