For the third time this year, cast members from the breakout American musical Newsies will chat with fans live on YouTube. Today, Saturday, August 18th at 6:00PM EST, Newsies' Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Ryan Steele, Garett Hawe and Laurie Veldheer will be on hand to talk about the show.

The song list and talent have been announced for composer/lyricist Charles Bloom's debut recording, titled Music and Lyrics by Charles Bloom: IN HERE. The album is due online in October from Sonic Landscapes.

Newsies has just announced that Corey Cott will become the show's new leading man, Jack Kelly, beginning Wednesday, September 5th. Cott became the Jack Kelly alternate earlier this month and will continue as alternate until he assumes the role full time.

On Wednesday, July 18th, Joan Rivers attended NEWSIES on Broadway with her grandson and his friend. She raved about the show backstage and said that she especially loved the choreography and the energy of the cast. Check out photos of Rivers with the cast below!

In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES star Christian Bale chatted about a previous gig- starring in the original movie version of Newsies back in 1992. Bale said of the new Broadway show: 'They're having the success our movie never had. I'm not really into musicals. But I wish them the best.'

Yesterday, July 14, Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore hosted the 14th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the fourteenth annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, sponsored by the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and with additional sponsorship by the New York Times, the event will take place on Saturday, July 14 in Shubert Alley, the heart of the Broadway Theater District (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m.
