Due to popular demand, Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Les Miserables will return to Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre for a spectacular two-week engagement, June 27-July 7, 2012.

A new, streamlined version of Broadway's Jane Eyre will have its regional premiere at Atlanta's Legacy Theatre through February 19.

Following the success of their last production, the 1943 play THE VOICE OF THE TURTLE, Merrimack Repertory Theatre mines the early 20th century for source material and strikes gold. Think about bringing your daughters and granddaughters to meet the extremely likeable and capable young female protagonist in this heartwarming musical.

Holly Kendrick, Director and CEO of the National Student Drama Festival, is to join HighTide Festival Theatre as Executive Director in July 2012. Kendrick will join HighTide following the International Student Drama Festival (22-30th June 2012) and will then partner with Artistic Director Steven Atkinson to lead the company together as joint CEO.

Cameron Mackintosh announced today that Ramin Karimloo will extend his run playing 'Jean Valjean' in the legendary musical "LES MISÉRABLES" at the Queen's Theatre until 31 March 2012. David Shannon will then return to the role of 'Jean Valjean' from Tuesday 3 April - Saturday 16 June 2012. He will be followed by Geronimo Rauch who will play the role from Monday 18 June 2012 until Saturday 15 June 2013

For one night only, Frances Ruffelle, brings her acclaimed solo show Beneath the Dress to the Menier Chocolate Factory, where she is currently starring in Pippin. The show features a funky six-piece band and a dazzling array of songs - from classics sung like you have never heard them before to brand new material that you'll want to hear again. The performance will take place on February 12 at 7:30pm.

Houston Grand Opera, with Music Director Patrick Summers and Managing Director Perryn Leech, announces its 2012-13 season, headlined by four new productions. The first of these is Puccini's La boheme, which launches the new season with a new staging by award-winning British director John Caird. To honor 2013's joint bicentennials of Wagner and Verdi, the coming season juxtaposes Tristan und Isolde - starring Ben Heppner and Nina Stemme in a new contemporary staging by Christof Loy - with a revival of Steven Lawless's unforgettable take on Il trovatore. British conductor Trevor Pinnock leads a strong international cast in Mozart's ensemble masterpiece Don Giovanni, while Francesca Zambello's new production of Kern and Hammerstein's Show Boat brings together stars of Broadway and the opera house in a celebration of America's own contribution to the art. For a more intimate experience, Daniela Barcellona and Lawrence Brownlee star in Rossini's dramma giocoso, The Italian Girl in Algiers.
