Sheffield Theatres and Orange Tree Theatre present Deborah Bruce's THE DISTANCE. Charlotte Gwinner directs Michelle Duncan (Bea), Charlotte Emmerson (Alex), Daniel Hawksford (Dewi), Charlotte Lucas (Kate), Timothy Knightley (Simon), Steven Meo (Vinnie) and Joshua Sinclair-Evans (Liam). The production opens on 3 November, with previews from 29 October, and runs until 14 November at Sheffield Theatres, ahead of a run at Orange Tree Theatre from 26 November to 19 December. Jonathan Kent's five-star production of Gypsy starring Imelda Staunton as Rose will have its final performance on 28 November 2015 as previously announced. Having smashed the all time box office record at the Savoy Theatre and subsequently recouped, Kent's production originally opened at the Chichester Festival Theatre in October last year. Following a second set of five-star reviews, producers Michael Harrison and David Ian announced an extension to the West End run in April.

Lyndsey Turner's production of William Shakespeare's HAMLET, starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, is currently underway at the Barbican Theatre. As previously reported, the SHERLOCK star has a full schedule following his run in the play, but now the Daily Mail is reporting that Broadway theatre owners have begun scouting the show (a good sign!), which runs for just 12 weeks.
