Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is thrilled to announce that Tigers Be Still, a new play by Kim Rosenstock directed by Sam Gold, has completely sold out its extended limited run through Sunday, November 28th!

The New York premiere of PLAY DEAD, a new Off-Broadway thriller co-written and directed by Teller of Penn & Teller and co-written & performed by Todd Robbins, began performances at Off-Broadway's Players Theater 115 MacDougal Street at Minetta Lane on Thursday, October 21 for an open-ended run. The official press opening was Wednesday, November 10.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) will honor producers Barry and Fran Weissler (Chicago, Wonderful Town, La Cage Aux Folles, Scottsboro Boys) and the winners of the NYMF 2010 Awards for Excellence at the Seventh Season Awards Gala taking place on Sunday, November 14th at The Hudson Theatre (145 W. 44th Street) beginning at 6:00pm.

Parks & Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe and Cultural Affairs Commissioner Kate Levin today unveiled a new plaque at the TKTS booth in Duffy Square, honoring the site's history and recent restorations, while also lauding the efforts of Mayor John V. Lindsay. Mayor Lindsay was a passionate supporter of the Broadway Theatre and was instrumental in the creation of the original TKTS booth with the Theatre Development Fund in 1973, making Duffy Square ever since a destination point for those in search of reduced-price theater tickets. On October 18, the Joel Grey-directed, 25th anniversary staged reading of Larry Kramer's ground-breaking play, The Normal Heart, earned a heartfelt standing ovation at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The reading starred Glenn Close, Victor Garber, Jason Butler Harner, John Benjamin Hickey, Joe Mantello, Jack McBrayer, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Patrick Wilson in the one-night-only event that raised $150,000 for The Actors Fund and Friends In Deed.

THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE features book & lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart and music by Mike Stoller and Artie Butler.

Directed by David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?), Driving Miss Daisy began performances on October 7, 2010, at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), and officially opened Monday, October 25, 2010. The 16-week limited engagement runs through Saturday, January 29, 2011.
