According to Hollywood.com , filmmaker Ned Benson will be writing and directing two connected films, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers, which when shown together, will tell the tale of a troubled marriage from both the husband and wife's point of views. Actors Jessica Chastain and Joel Edgerton will portray the roles of the married couple.
Variety reports that actor Joel Edgerton has officially signed on to join the cast of Kathryn Bigelow's currently untitled Osama Bin Laden movie. On Saturday, Jennifer Garner surprised her co-stars Joel Edgerton, CJ Adams, Odeya Rush and the rest of the cast and crew by treating them to a live lunchbreak performance by the local southern rock band Fiasco. The Sydney Theater Company's production of 'A Streetcar Named Desire' helmed by Liv Ullman and starring Cate Blanchett was an immediate success when it played a limited engagement at the BAM Harvey Theatre late last year. Since the closing of the show, rumors abound of a possible Broadway run. An entry in the The New York Times' ArtsBeat blog today reports that Stephen C. Byrd, the producer who holds the rights to 'Streetcar' has decided not to attempt to transfer the Sydney Theatre Company's production. Instead, spokesman Gary Springer said on Tuesday that a revival of sorts may be in the works, incorporating a multiracial cast into the production, while eyeing a Broadway run in the Spring 2011.
