Taking a cue from last season's artistically (and commercially!) successful 'Season of Family', the 2013/2014 Ringwald season also adheres to a theme: the power of words.

The Ringwald Theatre has announced the 4th installment of its wildly popular Gay Play Series (GPS). Last year's outing was attended by hundreds of people over a two weekend period. This year the program will run three consecutive weekends and will feature a two-week run of the past three winning scripts, a serialized staged reading of a beloved classic, a new one-woman show, a brand new cabaret, and performances of 8 new, one act LGBT plays.

The Ringwald Theatre will present August: Osage County from tonight, May 10-June 3, 2013. Capping off a successful 'Season of Family', The Ringwald has indeed saved what is arguably the best for last; certainly the biggest for last. The Ringwald has had great success with the plays of Tracy Letts in the past, producing two of his works: Bug and Killer Joe. August: Osage County promises to be every bit as compelling as his past works.

Playing tonight, April 19 through May 11, 2013, the evocative and extraordinary Tony Award-winning play, Marat/Sade (The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade) by Peter Weiss, will conclude the Hilberry Theatre's milestone 50th season. This legendary play-within-a-play is a wildly theatrical, multi-layered event not to be missed.

After a wildly successful one-night-only performance opening the Gay Play Series last June, Ronnie Larsen's classic play Making Porn will return to The Ringwald for a full production! Taking a small break from their Season of Family (and, honestly, who doesn't need a break from family now and again), The Ringwald will present Making Porn tonight, February 22 - March 18, 2013 at The Ringwald Theatre, 22742 Woodward Avenue in downtown Ferndale.
