Mesa Arts Center today announced its 2014-2015 Performing Live Season, which begins with Lyle Lovett & His Large Band on July 24, and includes performances with Tony Bennett, MythBusters, Bill Cosby, Joshua Bell, Evil Dead the Musical, Molly Ringwald, and many more. The shows unveiled today are in addition to the six series packages announced on May 1, including Broadway on Center, Classical, Dance, Jazz, National Geographic Live, and Spoken World.

Now this multi-award winning production is making a limited stop at Harris Center for the Arts.

Classic Stage Company just posted an Equity audition notice hunting for actor-musicians to star in ALLEGRO, directed by John Doyle with musical direction by Mary Mitchell Campbell. According to the listing, the production is slated to begin rehearsals in September for a first preview on November 1, 2014.

Producers of the Tony Award winning musical Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, Robyn Goodman, Jill Furman and Stephen Kocis, have announced that Paige Faure, now appearing in Bullets Over Broadway, will be Broadway's new CINDERELLA starting June 13. Faure will also lead the national tour of the hit, Tony Award-winning musical when it begins performances October 10 in Providence, RI. Ms. Faure assumes the role following the 4-month limited engagement of Carly Rae Jepsen, which concludes June 8.

DiPrieto's play is affectionately written and deftly sketches the growing attraction between two lonely seniors, Ralph and Carol, providing some nicely observed character comedy. Over 400 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm on Monday, June 2 at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street, NYC). In 2012, TDF's Open Doors was the first arts education program to receive a special Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre. This year, Open Doors had 27 mentors working with 24 groups of students from New York City high schools.

Despite the misgivings of family and the initial reluctance of Carol, the object of his affections, Ralph embarks on the trip of a lifetime and regains a happiness that seemed all but lost. The Last Romance is a heart-warming comedy about the transformative power of love.

Sardelli brings stellar national directing credits and close ties with many of today's hottest rising playwrights to the company, which has established itself as a leader in cultivating and producing new works. No stranger to TheatreWorks, Sardelli helmed the company's 2013 production of Somewhere by rising star Matthew Lopez, as well as the TheatreWorks' 2011World Premiere of Pulitzer Prize-nominee Rajiv Joseph's The North Pool, named by the San Francisco Chronicle as one of that year's ten best productions in the Bay Area.
