Signature Announces Cast for THE RED LETER PLAYS; Tickets Now On Sale

Casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director; James Houghton, Founder) productions of Pulitzer Prize-winner Suzan-Lori Parks' The Red Letter Plays: f**king A & In the Blood. This is the first time these acclaimed plays will be presented together; they will run simultaneously at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). These two plays mark the final productions of Parks' Signature Residency One. All tickets for the initial runs of the productions are $30 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access.

Artists Rep Announces NEW. NOW. NECESSARY 2017/18 Season

For its 35th anniversary as Portland's premiere mid-size regional theatre company, Artists Repertory Theatre will offer seven gripping, contemporary plays for their mainstage series.  Among these plays are Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winners, the second  Table|Room|Stage commission, The Thanksgiving Play, by Larissa FastHorse, and a limited run of the World Premiere of the epic theatrical event Magellanica, by Portland playwright E.M. Lewis. Artists Rep's FRONTIER SERIES returns for a second season with internationally acclaimed artists from New York, Seattle and Iran.

Announcing Free Events at Shakespeare in High Park This August

In celebration of Shakespeare in High Park's 35th anniversary season and Canada's 150th, Canadian Stage is proud to announce a series of free events taking place at the High Park Amphitheatre throughout the month of August, including a showcase of new short plays by the participants of Territorial Tales, the company's 2017 Youth Engagement Project; a Community Citizenship Ceremony, and a Global Village Family Festival.

Foothill Music Theatre to Stage SHREK THE MUSICAL This Summer

Multi-award winning Foothill Music Theatre presents Shrek The Musical, a family-friendly production that boasts a new score by recent Tony Award-winner Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home) and a wildly comic book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire.

Disney's 101 DALMATIONS Opens at Artisan Center Theater

Artisan Children's Theater proudly presents DISNEY'S 101 DALMATIANS KIDS at its 148 seat Second Stage facility.  The theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.  The show runs Saturday, July 22, 2017 through Saturday, August 19, 2017.  Performances are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:00am and 12:00pm. Semi-Finalists Announced for Fifth Annual Wilson Center Guitar Festival

The greatest guitar players of today and tomorrow will be featured at the 2017 Wilson Center Guitar Festival on August 17-19, as 77 semi-finalists from 63 cities around the world travel to the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts (Wilson Center) in Brookfield, Wis., to compete for their share of $32,000 in prize money.

Four incredible artists bring to life the stories of four powerful women. LIFE REFLECTED, presented by the National Arts Centre (NAC) is a multi-media journey examining the lives of four women using photography, film, spoken word and music. The NAC Orchestra takes us through four individual pieces, led by conductor and Artistic Director, Alexander Shelley. Shelley describes the works as being united in the way the women 'learned to tread a new path and turn the tables on those who wanted to oppress them.'
