MAC Award Winner Suzanne Carrico Returns To Metropolitan Room

Suzanne Carrico, the 2008 MAC Award Winner for 'Outstanding Debut,' will return to the Metropolitan Room with The Friendliest Thing, in January (7th, 23rd & 24th) & February (12th). The show, directed by Mary Cleere Haran, with Musical Direction by Tedd Firth, features special guest Don Rebic on piano & Saddi Zain on bass. The Friendliest Thing, an evening of provocative music from The Great American Songbook of the past & present, is devoted to matters of a most 'intimate' nature.

Broadway in Concert! at The Canyon, the all new Wednesday night series of intimate concerts headlined by the best of Broadway musical theatre stars and Nightclub artists opening January 7, 2009 at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA, has added longtime LA musical theatre star Steve Gideon to its opening month roster - it was announced today by Canyon Club Managing Partner Lance Sterling and Producer Michael Sterling of Michael Sterling & Associates in Los Angeles.

Cutting Room Closes Doors, Rivers Plays Venue's Final Show

Legendary comedian Joan Rivers will play the final show at the popular performance venue The Cutting Room on January 13, after which the club will close its doors. Showtime is at 7:30 PM, with $30 tickets available at 212-352-3101 or online at www.SpinCycleNYC.com. Rivers is also playing the club January 6 & 7. Proceeds from her shows benefit God's Love We Deliver and Guide Dogs for the Blind. The Cutting Room is located at 19 West 24th Street in Chelsea, accessible from the F & V trains at 23rd Street.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue its 10th Anniversary season with the return of the club's founder Michael Feinstein for an exclusive engagement from December 2 ? 30. Musical Director John Oddo will lead a 17-piece band featuring Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar, Jim Saporito on drums, and David Finck on bass. This September, Michael sold out a week at the club celebrating his new CD 'The Sinatra Project.' By popular demand, he will bring back the great romantic songs performed by 'Ol' Blue Eyes' and combine them with seasonal classics into the new program 'The Sinatra Holiday Project.' Antonia Bennett, the acclaimed vocalist, will be his special guest for the run. All shows take place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

This delightful event, featuring the Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer/lyricist of the smash Broadway musicals Wicked, Godspell, Working, Pippin and many others, will be performed in the Old Globe Theatre on Monday, March 9 at 7:30pm.
