Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation brings ukulele "wunderkind" Jake Shimabukuro to the Poway Center for the Performing Arts stage on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 8pm.

The third annual AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS will air live from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas Monday, Dec. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Luke Bryan leads the AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS nominees with seven nominations; Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown Band each earned six nods; and Eric Church and Taylor Swift garnered five nominations.

A free community event takes place in the afternoon with a screening of the documentary film JOYOUS GARDE, about John Steinbeck's time in Sag Harbor, on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 12 pm - 4 pm. Then later that evening at 8 pm, see Nancy Atlas live in concert. Tickets are $15 per person available at the door.

Indian Ranch is turning its annual summer beach party with Changes in Latitudes into a benefit for Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard in Webster. In March, Harrington HealthCare launched a fundraising campaign to rebuild and expand the Emergency Department at its Webster campus. Every $15 ticket purchased to today's September 2nd party at Indian Ranch will result in a $20 contribution to the campaign, thanks to a $4 million matching grant.
