Dallas Theater Center launches its 2013-14 season with A Raisin in the Sun. Tre Garrett of Fort Worth's Jubilee Theatre will make his directorial debut at DTC with this Tony Award-winning play. A Raisin in the Sun begins with a Pay-What-You-Can performance tonight, September 13 and runs through Sunday, October 27 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS continues off-Broadway, with Gary Littman & Matt Lutz having just stepped into the roles of Passepartout & Detective Fix, respectively, and Guy Lemonnier heading the cast as the phlegmatic Phileas Fogg, with Shirine Babb and Jimmy Ray Bennett rounding out the ensemble. Producer Cedric Yau has announced that Gary Littman & Matt Lutz will step into the roles of Passepartout & Detective Fix (respectively) in Around the World in 80 Days, beginning today, September 3rd. They will replace John Gregorio & Stephen Guarino, whose last performance was Sunday, September 1st. The production, directed by Robert Richmond (Othello and Henry VIII at the Folger), stars Zach Appelman (War Horse on Broadway) in his Folger Theatre debut as Henry V, and will run from tonight, January 22 - March 3, 2013.

Polarity Ensemble Theatre's Dionysos Cup Festival of New Plays has apparently reached the proper vintage to bear multiple fruit. This summer two scripts developed in the Dionysos Cup series will see their world premieres playing simultaneously, the series itself adds video thanks to an award from the Saints, another Dionysos Cup play has gone on to further development with the Goodman Theatre, and Polarity will award this year's Cup to a worthy and entertaining new script.

A co-promotion with the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas and the Jewish Repertory Theatre of Nevada,Golda's Balcony comes to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts on April 1 at 5:00 p.m.
