AtticRep Sets 10th Anniversary Season

2015-2016 marks the 10th season of acclaimed theatre company AtticRep, and its second in residence at the Tobin Center of Performing Arts. The 10th Anniversary Season presents four dynamic productions which achieve a compelling and diverse exploration of childhood, forgiveness, the loss of innocence, and growing up female. In addition to infusing the season's three adapted plays, these themes culminate in one completely-original work, furthering the much-heralded company's mission to challenge the creative imagination of the San Antonio community.

The multiple award-winning Echo Theater Company, named "Best Bet for Ballsy Original Plays" by the LA Weekly, continues its 2015 season with two Los Angeles premieres scheduled to run in repertory. Row After Row by Jessica Dickey (The Amish Project) opens on April 25 at 5 p.m., with A Small Fire by Obie Award-winner Adam Bock (The Drunken City, The Receptionist) opening that same evening at 8 p.m.

The multiple award-winning Echo Theater Company, named 'Best Bet for Ballsy Original Plays' by the LA Weekly, continues its 2015 season with two Los Angeles premieres scheduled to run in repertory. Row After Row by Jessica Dickey (The Amish Project) opens tonight, April 25 at 5 p.m., with A Small Fire by Obie Award-winner Adam Bock (The Drunken City, The Receptionist) opening that same evening at 8 p.m. The two plays will continue to run in tandem every weekend through May 31 at the Echo's home in Atwater Village Theatre. Factory 449: a theatre collective, coming off four 2015 Helen Hayes Award nominations for its production of Jessica Dickey's The Amish Project, presents CLOSET LAND by Radha Bharadwaj (Basil). Directed by Helen Hayes Award-winner Rick Hammerly and featuring Factory 449 Company Members Sara Barker and David Lamont Wilson, CLOSET LAND performs April 17 to May 10, 2015 at Anacostia Arts Center (1231 Good Hope Road, SE). Performances are Thursday - Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 3pm.

Ford's Theatre Director Paul R. Tetreault today announced the Ford's Theatre 2015-2016 season. Productions include the world-premiere play The Guard by Jessica Dickey and directed by Sharon Ott-part of the fall 2015 Women's Voices Theater Festival; The Glass Menagerie featuring Nancy Robinette; and the musical 110 In the Shade directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge and featuring Tracy Lynn Olivera. The season also includes the holiday favorite A Christmas Carol.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater presents The Amish Project by Jessica Dickey, a fictional exploration of the Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake. The one-person cast for The Amish Project stars Rep Associate Artist Deborah Staples. Directed by Milwaukee-based theater director and Rep Literary Coordinator Leda Hoffmann, the production runs now through March 22, 2015 and opens tonight, February 13.
