From January to July of 2011, The Brick is presenting a series of productions and festivals that display the range and boldness of its many artists - whether they be returning favorites or brand new faces! This will be a season of sorority, cadavers, abortions, time, comic books, crime, heritage and video games.

From January to July of 2011, The Brick is making good on this claim by presenting a series of productions and festivals that display the range and boldness of its many artists - whether they be returning favorites or brand new faces!

Welcome to 99 AND UNDER THE RADAR: A LOOK AT INDIE THEATER'S MOVERS AND SHAKERS, BroadwayWorld's new weekly series that showcases standout productions and production companies from the independent theater scene in New York City. Each week, independent producer Michael Roderick will be discussing the latest goings on in the theatrical wings, highlighting those with potentially bright futures. This Week's Topic: Getting to the 'Source' of the Indie Theatre Community.

New Georges has announced that the company has received a three-year, $90,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation which supports the creation of an artistic director's discretionary fund. This grant is intended to help New Georges maintain financial stability during these volatile economic times, and thereby continue to do excellent artistic work, take risks, commit to new plays/artistic projects, and invest in artists over time.

New play THE MUMBLINGS by Dan Kitrosser will receive an industry reading April 19th. The reading will be directed by Jess Chayes and starring Tony Nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q) and David Wilson Barnes (Becky Shaw).

The Assembly's production of The Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov will be staged at the The Red Room from January 20-30.

On the cusp of a revolution, Chekhov's everyday heroines struggle to find meaning amidst the tempest of fractured memories, uncertain hopes, and thwarted vitality.

Julia Jarcho's new play, AMERICAN TREASURE, will receive its premiere performance by the theatre group 13P beginning on November 21st and running through December 12th at The Paradise Factory. Jarcho will direct the play's initial run and the cast will feature Aaron Landsman and Jenny Seastone Stern.
