American Theater Company (ATC) announces the World Premiere of Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Kimberly Senior. Disgraced is produced by special arrangement with The Araca Group (Broadway's Urinetown, A View From The Bridge and co-producers of Wicked). The production will run January 27 - February 26, 2012 at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron, Chicago, IL. Press opening is Monday, January 30, 2012 at 7:00PM.

The Polish Cultural Institute and Culture Project will present The Wild Finish written and performed by Monica Hunken and directed by Melissa Chambers.

La MaMa has announced that the world premiere of Oysters Orgasms Obituaries, written and performed by Raïna von Waldenburg, and designed and directed by Zishan Ugurlu, will begin performances Thursday, December 1 at 7:30pm, with a press opening set for Sunday, December 4, at 3pm, in La MaMa's First Floor Theatre, 74A East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Oysters Orgasms Obituaries is part of La MaMa's 50th anniversary season.

Created and performed by Ben Spatz, Rite of the Butcher is a visceral fable about the power of fantasy, as told by the Butcher -- refugee, criminal, shaman -- through poetry, martial dance, and folk songs in an invented language. This unique work opens new doors for solo theatre by combining rigorous physical and vocal craft with an investigation of pressing contemporary themes. The 45-minute piece deals with loss, trauma, and the fantasy of revenge while shifting back and forth between the style of a traditional monologue and that of European-style experimental performance. Rite of the Butcher will have its world premiere on Saturday, November 5th at 7:30pm at the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, New York City). To commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, The Flea Theater (Jim Simpson, Artistic Director; Carol Ostrow, Producing Director) will present special performances of Anne Nelson's THE GUYS at various venues in Lower Manhattan including the Museum of Jewish Heritage (for the FDNY) and Goldman Sachs.
