An open casting call for MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET will be held in LOS ANGELES, Calif., today, June 24 (11 AM - 3 PM) at Screenland Studios (10501 Burbank Blvd in North Hollywood).

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, now playing at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), closes today, Sunday, June 24 following 901 performances on Broadway and at New World Stages.

Next week, the Pantages Theatre will be hosting the L.A. Premiere of Million Dollar Quartet. Million Dollar Quartet is set on December 4, 1956, when an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the "Father of Rock 'n' Roll" who was responsible for launching the careers of each icon, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis for the first and only time. When will they learn that simply putting the music of some notable singers on stage without a decent script to back it up does not a good musical make? It's didn't work for "Good Vibrations" it didn't work for "Lennon" and it doesn't work for "Million Dollar Quartet" currently playing at the Paramount Theatre.
