?"Heads," the story of four people - an American engineer, a British embassy employee, a network journalist, and a freelance photographer, who are thrown together when they are taken hostage during the early years of the war in Iraq, opens in New York at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row, for a limited run, September 11-20, 2015 (410 West 42nd Street).

Sacred Heart University is announcing a new undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts expected to launch in the fall of 2015. The new program will be housed in the Department of Communication and Media Studies and will be based on the university's main campus in Fairfield, CT. The Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts at Sacred Heart University continues its American Legend Series with A Conversation with FLORENCE HENDERSON Live and Onstage of the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts on the Campus of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut on Saturday, May 4 (2013) at 8pm.

A Christmas Story, The Musical arrives on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre just in time for the 2012 holiday season. Based on the 1983 movie perennial, the musical plays and eight-week limited engagement through December 30. The show opened on November 19th and BroadwayWorld.com was there! As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Gerald Goehring, Michael F. Mitri and Dorothy Berloni are developing BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE, a new Broadway musical based on the popular 2000 novel by Kate DeCamillo. Casting for a developmental reading is currently underway and set to take place in early March. This is set to be followed by an out of town engagement and Broadway production, the timing of which will be confirmed at a later date.

On Wednesday, December 14, A Christmas Story, The Musical! celebrated its opening night at Chicago's legendary Chicago Theatre with producer Peter Billingsley, who starred as Ralphie in the original 1983 film, there to cheer the company on. Check out photos from opening night below!

The Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Sacred Heart University announces Broadway actors Kevin Gray and Aaron Serotsky for the starring roles in its upcoming production of Oliver! on August 7-8 & 9 following the last session of the Summer Musical Theatre Workshops. Kevin Gray, a resident of Fairfield, Connecticut, will play the role of Fagin.
