Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces a preliminary lineup of star performers, and a luminous array of theater notables including Andre Bishop, Terrence McNally and James Naughton, who will help celebrate three extraordinary people at the annual TRU Love Benefit, Honoring Friendship, Remembering Friends. The trio of TRU friends who will be remembered and honored are producer Randall Wreghitt (Little Women, Beauty Queen of Leenane, Grey Gardens, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Golda's Balcony, As Bees in Honey Drown, The Food Chain) who died unexpectedly at the age of 55 in May 2011, and will be posthumously remembered with the 2013 TRU Spirit of Theater Award; Michael Feingold, former critic with the Village Voice, who will receive the TRU Humanitarian Award for educating generations of theatergoers about the historical, social and cultural context of the shows he reviews; and TRU member and program director Patricia R. Klausner, who will be recognized and applauded with the TRU Entrepreneur Award for her ongoing dedication in both the not-for-profit and commercial producing arenas.

Great performers relive their terrible performances to benefit The Performing Arts Project. On Sunday, November 3rd at Joe's Pub, Steve Pasquale (The Bridges of Madison County, 'Do No Harm', 'Rescue Me') hosts an evening of fabulous performers sharing video of their most embarrassing moments onstage and then redeeming themselves by recreating that moment live on stage. Broadway musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell (Big Fish, The Addams Family) will serve as the music director for the evening, which includes participation by Pasquale, Hunter Bell ([title of show], Grinch), Susan Blackwell ([title of show], 'Side By Side'), Richard Kind (The Big Knife, 'Mad About You', 'Spin City'), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, 'Do No Harm'), Krysta Rodriguez (First Date, 'Smash'), Jeremy Shamos (The Assembled Parties, Clybourne Park), and David Yazbek(The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) At the end of the evening, the audience will vote on the star performer who most redeemed themselves through their efforts that night. Playwrights Horizons presents its New York premiere production of Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play, a new play byAnne Washburn, with music by Obie Award winner Michael Friedman. MCC THEATER has announced the line-up for their upcoming PlayLabs reading series, featuring new plays by members of the company's Playwrights' Coalition. According to Variety, Broadway veterans Eileen Atkins, Marcia Gay Harden, Hamisch Linklater and Simon McBurney have all joined the cast of Woody Allen's new, untitled comedy. Also starring are previously announced Colin Firth, Jeremy Shamos, and Emma Stone. The Gravier Productions film is produced by Allen's longtime associates, Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenenbaum.

Jeremy Shamos, the Tony nominated actor for Clybourne Park, will be joining the previously announced Colin Firth and Emma Stone for Woody Allen's new film. Shamos is currently starring in the Tony nominated Best Play "The Assembled Parties" on Broadway, but will be leaving to film in the south of France starting mid July.
