Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL to Run 11/20-12/13 at Cal State Fullerton

The family Christmas classic, Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, runs November 20-December 13, 2015 in the Young Theatre on Cal State Fullerton's campus. The adaptation is inspired by the 1951 film version, adapted by Department of Theatre and Dance Chair Bruce Goodrich and directed by Jeremy Lewis.

CSU Fullerton's Fall Dance Theatre Opens 11/12

Nationally acclaimed Fall Dance Theatre is coordinated by CSUF Dance Professor Gladys Kares and runs November 12-November 22, 2015 in the Little Theatre on campus. Fall Dance Theatre includes original choreography by students, faculty, and guest artists. CSUF dancers were recently featured at Washington DC's Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Photo Flash: Sneak Peek at MAD's PATHMAKERS: WOMEN IN ART Exhibit

From April 28 to September 27, 2015, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) presents Pathmakers: Women in Art, Craft and Design, Midcentury and Today, an exhibition thatconsiders the notable contributions of women to modernism in postwar visual culture. In the 1950s and '60s, an era when painting, sculpture and architecture were dominated by men, women had extensive impact in alternative materials such as textiles, ceramics and metals. Largely unexamined in major art historical surveys, due to either their gender or their choice of materials, these pioneering women achieved success and international recognition, establishing a model of professional identity for future generations. Days After the Tony Awards Broadway's Brightest Lit up the Stage to Benefit Operation Smile

On June 10, 2014, producer and director, Caleb Ryan and a cast of rising stars on Broadway revived the timeless music of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in the one night only performance of We'll Take Manhattan, all to benefit Operation Smile. New World Stages played host to the performance and exclusive after party with industry heavy hitters in attendance including Tony Award winners Billy Porter and Michael Starobin, Grammy winner Kurt Elling, Two Time Tony Award Nominee Laura Osnes as well as television personality Chenoa Maxwell from the OWN network's hit television show Love in the City.

MAD to Present 'BEYOND THE GARMENT DISTRICT,' 5/22-7/10

From May 22 to July 10, MAD presents Beyond the Garment District: Perspectives on Craft and Technique in New York-Made Fashion, a series of four programs featuring some of New York's most innovative and avant-garde fashion designers. Moderated by Jeremy Lewis, founder and editor of the fashion zine Garmento, the series considers practical as well as conceptual implications of contemporary clothes making, as mass consumption and production continue to take a deep environmental and human toll.

Horizon Theatre Company to Host THIRD COUNTRY Educational Event, 10/15

Horizon Theatre Company is currently running the show Third Country. On Oct 15, they want to take a step beyond the world of the play. Join the company for an evening which brings together people currently living, working, and making change happen in the town that inspired Third Country: Clarkston. In this 1.1 square mile town 10 miles from downtown Atlanta, 60 languages are spoken and one-third of residents are foreign born, including many refugees from around the globe. Hear more about this town's journey in becoming a welcoming place for a diverse community.

44th Annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Lineup Announced

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will host more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 44th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), April 16-21, 2012. In January and February of this year, these artists from eight regions presented their outstanding work and were selected to travel to Washington, D.C. for an expense-paid trip to participate in National Festival events taking place at the Kennedy Center.
