Nominations for the 57th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced at a news conference this morning by Drama Desk winners Donna Murphy and Brian d'Arcy James. The 57th Annual Drama Desk Awards will take place on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 8:00 PM at The Town Hall in Manhattan.

The 78th Annual Drama League Awards will be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square on Friday, May 18, 2012 at noon. The stars of Gore Vidal's The Best Man James Earl Jones, John Larroquette, Eric McCormack, Michael McKean and Jefferson Mays will be joining the play's director Michael Wilson at 92nd Street Y on Monday April 30 at 8pm for a talk event about this fascinating, prescient work, which Vidal wrote in an era when the impact of television and public discussion of politicians' sex lives had yet to be felt. Caryn James, the film and culture critic and author, moderates the discussion.

Nominations in 14 categories were announced today by the Off-Broadway League for the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway.
