The event is also an occasion to recognize Founding Artistic Director Rob Goodman for his accomplishments during his 25 year tenure. The black tie evening will include cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by dinner and a program featuring inspirational stories by current young performers, students and alumni of First Stage. During this program a ground-breaking new fundraising initiative will be unveiled and Rob Goodman will be presented with a very special gift in honor of 25 years of transforming lives through theater. The evening will conclude with the high-energy big band, Swing Nouveau.

First Stage today annoucned that Betsy Corry, former associate executive director of COA Youth & Family Centers, has been appointed as the new managing director of First Stage. Corry succeeds Rob Goodman, who was the founding artistic director of First Stage and alternately filled the roles of artistic director and managing director for the company's 25-year history. Corry will begin her new position on May 7.
