Russell Simmons Bringing Hip-Hop Musical THE SCENARIO to New York Next Fall?

Hip-hop pioneer, Tony Award-winning producer and multi-hyphenate entrepreneur Russell Simmons has announced the development of THE SCENARIO, a new stage musical that will be driven by the music that defined a generation: the greatest hits from a two-decade span of hip-hop - from the 'golden age' of the mid-80s to mid-90s 'when it seemed that every new single reinvented the genre' (Rolling Stone), to the chart-topping artists at the turn of the millennium.
Charles Strouse to Make UK Cabaret Debut at The Pheasantry, March 22-24

Charles Strouse (Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Applause, It's A Bird … It's A Plane … It's Superman) will be performing his own songs for three nights at the Pheasantry, Sunday 22nd to Tuesday 24th March 2015. This will be his first ever cabaret performance in the UK, and Bonnie Langford will appear as a special guest all three nights.

I rushed home from a long day out in NYC, and now I'm settled on the couch sans bra and pants shoes, eating a lovely meal of a microwave burrito with paper towel stuck to it cause I overheated it food. The Washington Ballet (TWB) is proud to announce the next performances in its recently launched series, theNEWmovement: rising stars of The Washington Ballet Studio Company. The shows feature TWB's Studio Company, an aspirant dancer group poised to become the dance stars of the future. Also featured, are members of the Washington School of Ballet's Trainee Program, Professional Track Program and the Washington Ballet @THEARC Performance Ensemble. Many current company artists of The Washington Ballet began their careers as members of Studio Company including Maki Onuki, Corey Landolt, Andile Ndlovu, Aurora Dickie among others. Many others have also moved on to dance in ballet companies throughout the world.
