THE NUTCRACKER Returns to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts

A glorious holiday tradition returns to Worcester when The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts presents its annual production of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, Thanksgiving weekend, November 23 through November 25. Tickets are now on sale to members and go on sale to the public Tuesday, July 10 at 10 a.m.

Palace Theatre To Reopen November 2 After Complete Auditorium Renovation

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 92-year-old Palace Theatre has received a full facelift of its 2,691-seat auditorium. The first major renovation for the Palace since 1984, the six-month, main-hall makeover included the repair of damaged plaster, new paint in a new color scheme, all-new seats on the main floor, full refurbishment of balcony seats, and installation of a new LED house lighting system in the dome and main chandelier. The first public performance in the fully renovated auditorium will be Grammy-nominated comedian Jim Gaffigan on Friday, November 2.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Receives the Mark Twain Prize for Humor

An outstanding lineup of entertainers gathered in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall to salute Julia Louis-Dreyfus, recipient of the 21st annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on October 21, 2018. The Prize, which is named to honor one of the world's greatest humorists, was presented at a gala performance featuring some of the biggest names in comedy. Saturday Night Live said Don was "too white," while the network executive for In Living Color said he wasn't "black enough." So Don created That Don Reed Show, his own sketch variety show. Coming to The Marsh Berkeley Cabaret this November, Don brings Bay Area audiences an evening of irreverent sketches, edgy stand-up, short films, and music.
