NBC's DATELINE Ties for #1 in Time Period Among Adults 18-49

From 9-11 p.m. ET, Dateline NBC' averaged a 1.4/4 in 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, 'Dateline' grew by 45 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.6 rating from a 1.1), by 50 percent in adults 25-54 (2.1 vs. 1.4) and 45 percent or 2.1 million persons in total viewers (6.6 million vs. 4.5 million). For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., 'Dateline NBC' reported a 1.6/5 in 18-49 and 6.4 million, tying for #1 in the hour on ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and ranking #1 outright among those networks in women 18-49.

After ten years of being 'bumped,' Academy Award winner Matt Damon will at long-last appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Damon and Kimmel will face off THURSDAY, JANUARY 24 at 11:35 p.m., ET/PT, when Damon makes his first official guest appearance on the show.

On Thursday, January 10, 2013, ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' delivered its best numbers yet in its new 11:35 p.m. time slot on its third day, spiking over Wednesday by 11% in Total Viewers (3.167 million vs. 2.859 million) and by 15% in Adults 18-49 (1.241 million vs. 1.083 million).

Canton Theatrical will present two staged presentations of PLOP, the all-new boy band musical about the meteoric rise of the super groups and pop princesses of the 1990s. Set against the backdrop of 90s pop music and suggested by the true story behind the sound that defined a generation, PLOP features music and lyrics by Damon Intrabartolo (bare, Fantastic Four, Superman Returns) and a revised book by Kenneth Finkle (Alive and Well, Indoor/Outdoor) with direction by Anthony J. Cantalupo.

NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' have achieved #1 finishes for the week of December 31-January 4, outscoring the ABC and CBS competition in their time periods in viewers 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories. Note that Monday and Tuesday telecasts were preempted or excluded from the weekly averages due to the New Year's holiday and that CBS's 'Late Late Show' and ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' were encores last week.

On Wednesday, January 9, 2013, ABC's JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE surged over its Tuesday time slot debut by 22% in Adults 18-49 (1.083 million vs. 887,000). In addition, 'JKL' retained nearly all of its overall audience from the prior day (92% - 2.859 million vs. 3.097 million).

Comix At Foxwoods has announced that Academy Award winner, Steven Wright, will grace the stage for one show only when he visits the Fox Theater at Foxwoods on Saturday, April 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets for this highly-anticipated show will be available for presale through Comix and Ticketmaster on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m., and regular tickets will go on sale Friday, Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets in advance for $30, $40 and $55.

Internationally acclaimed Grammy Award-winning conductor Helmuth Rilling, recipient of the 2011 Herbert von Karajan Music Prize, makes his 13th appearance with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra to guest conduct two performances of Mozart's sublime Requiem in D minor, K. 626, featuring soprano Stacey Tappan, alto Callista Hoffman, tenor Nicholas Phan, bass Michael Dean and the acclaimed USC Thornton Chamber Singers, under the direction of Jo Michael Scheibe, on Saturday, January 26, 8 pm, at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, and Sunday, January 27, 2013, 7 pm, at UCLA's Royce Hall. The all-Mozart program, which celebrates the legendary composer's 257th birthday, opens with his majestic Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major, K. 543.
