Onassis USA and the New Museum’s NEW INC have announced the launch of ONX Studio—the Onassis, NEW INC Extended Reality Studio—with two dozen artists and producers working in extended reality, for a year-long term to develop significant works for the public realm.
Dance Lab NY And The Joyce Theater Foundation Provide Female Choreographers Of Color An Opportunity To Incubate New Works

Dance Lab New York (DLNY) will partner with the Joyce Theater Foundation to provide a one-of-a-kind choreographic lab for four female choreographers of color to explore the classical, neoclassical, and/or contemporary ballet idioms. As part of this first-time collaboration, each choreographer will receive thirty hours of incubation in rehearsal space provided by the Joyce Artist Residency Center. DLNY will provide a weekly stipend, eight paid professional dancers, a rehearsal director, insurance, and administrative support. The Lab will take place October 14 through November 8, 2019 with a showing on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Guggenheim's Works & Process.

State Theatre New Jersey presents Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, one of the most innovative and powerful forces in the dance-theater world, in their State Theatre debut on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 8pm. After the performance, there will be a post-show talkback with Associate Artistic Director Janet Wong, Composer Nick Hallett, and the performers of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company. Tickets range from $19-$49.
Kennedy Center Presents THE ANALOGY TRILOGY

Revered choreographer and Kennedy Center Honoree Bill T. Jones and his company return to the Kennedy Center, March 28-30, with the D.C. premiere of three separate, evening-length works collectively titled The Analogy Trilogy. The company was last seen at the Kennedy Center in 2011. Each performance will be followed by a post-performance discussion with Artistic Director and choreographer Bill T. Jones.

Jones and Associate Artistic Director Janet Wong, announced Raja Feather Kelly as the 2019-20 Randjelovi/Stryker Resident Commissioned Artist (RCA). DIRECT CURRENT, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts's two-week celebration of contemporary culture, returns for a second season. Training its focus on new works, interdisciplinary creations in which artistic worlds collide, and creative responses to topical concerns, the 2019 spring immersion showcases some of the most provocative, original, and pioneering voices in the arts today. DIRECT CURRENT takes place on March 25-April 7 at the Kennedy Center and beyond, extending throughout the District of Columbia through collaborations with a number of alternative venues, to expand the growing audience for contemporary culture in the nation's capital.

NYU Skirball will present two marathon performances of Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company's acclaimed Analogy Trilogy, on September 22 and 23 at 3:00 pm. This is a rare opportunity to see the three parts of the trilogy performed as a whole and features the NYC premiere of Ambros: The Emigrant, the work's final piece. The complete trilogy will run 6½ hours (including a 90-minute dinner break) and is made up of Dora: Tramontane, Lance: Pretty aka the Escape Artist and Ambros: The Emigrant (NYC premiere).

Bill T. Jones, MacArthur Genius Award and National Medal of Arts awardee and Artistic Director of New York Live Arts, and Janet Wong, Associate Artistic Director, announced the New York Live Arts' 2018-2019 season today. "We look to artists to reflect, reframe, reimagine, and represent the world to us. We hope that in turn we respond with empathy and, dare we say, compassion," states Bill T. Jones. "New York Live Arts will premiere eight New York and/or world premieres this season including the much anticipated "Y" by Randjelovi?/Stryker Resident Commissioned Artist RoseAnne Spradlin," says Janet Wong. "We will also bring back Jack Ferver's highly successful 'Everything Is Imaginable,' which premiered at New York Live Arts' this past season. For the 2019 edition of the Live Ideas Festival we will look at artificial intelligence and our role in shaping the future," she adds.
