The issue of abortion gets a decidedly one-sided study in Jonathan Reynolds' newest play, currently running at the Flea.

The 34th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation, will continue with the two full?length plays Ground, beginning performances March 2 and Phoenix beginning performances March 5. Both plays run through March 28.

The American Theatre Critics Association (ATCA) has selected six finalists for the Harold and Mimi Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award, recognizing the best scripts which premiered professionally outside New York City during 2009.

Marin Hinkle, David Gelles Hurwitz, Brian Kerwin, Polly Lee and Matt McGrath will be featured in LCT3's upcoming production of GRACELAND, a new play by Ellen Fairey, directed by Henry Wishcamper. This New York premiere will begin performances, Monday, May 3, open on Monday, May 17 at 6:45pm and run through Saturday, May 29 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project (229 West 42 Street).

Beowulf Alley Theatre continues its season with the shoot ‘em up, knock ‘em up, cut ‘em up comic romp, Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage by Jane Martin. Performances are for three weekends only from February 26, 2010 through March 14, 2010

LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's new programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences, has announced the remaining productions of its 2009-2010 season: the New York premiere of GRACELAND, a new play by Ellen Fairey, directed by Henry Wishcamper and the world premiere of ON THE LEVEE, a musical play conceived and directed by Lear deBessonet with book by Marcus Gardley and music and lyrics by Todd Almond.
