Full Cast Announced for THE SOUND OF MUSIC UK Tour

Produced by Bill Kenwright, directed by Martin Connor, choreographed by Olivier Award winner Bill Deamer, musical direction by David Steadman, this wonderfully lavish staging of the classic musical coincides with the 50th anniversary of the film version - the most successful movie musical in history.

MultiStages to Present COMIDA DE PUTA (F%&KING LOUSY FOOD) at The West Side Theatre, 4/8-26

MULTISTAGES THEATRE is pleased to announce the world premiere of Desi Moreno-Penson's Comida de Puta (F%&king Lousy Food), directed by producing artistic director Lorca Peress. Comida de Puta (F%&king Lousy Food) will play a limited engagement at The West End Theatre (Church of St Paul and St Andrew at 263 West 86th Street, New York, NY 10024). Performances begin Wednesday, April 8th and continue through Sunday, April 26th. Opening Night is Friday, April 10th at 8 p.m.

Washington National Opera Releases Schedule for 2015-16 Season

(WASHINGTON)—Washington National Opera (WNO), led by Artistic Director Francesca Zambello, today announced its 60th anniversary season, one that highlights classic, contemporary, and American works. The 2015-2016 season includes a new-to-Washington staging of Bizet's Carmen, the world premiere of a newly revised version of Appomattox by composer Philip Glass and librettist Christopher Hampton, a revival of WNO's charming holiday production of Hansel and Gretel, the company premiere of Kurt Weill's Lost in the Stars in a gripping production from Cape Town Opera, and WNO's first complete staging of Wagner's extraordinary four-part Ring Cycle, with a world-class cast under the direction of Francesca Zambello and featuring the WNO Orchestra conducted by WNO Music Director Philippe Auguin. Highlights from the 2015-2016 season will be performed by the WNO Orchestra and special guests at a free preview concert on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 6 p.m. as part of the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage.

The Washington National Opera Announces Complete Casting for Richard Wagner's THE RING

Washington National Opera (WNO) today announced complete casting for its first full presentation of Richard Wagner's four-part Ring cycle. Three cycles will be presented from April 30 to May 22, 2016 and will be directed by Artistic Director Francesca Zambello and conducted by WNO Music Director Philippe Auguin. TRU's January Panel, PROJECTING THE FUTURE, Will Take Place 1/22

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the addition of some new speakers to its previously announced panel, Projecting the Future: When and How to Use New Technology on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 7:30pm at The Players Theatre's Steve & Marie Sgouros Theatre, 3rd floor, 115 MacDougal Street, NYC. The play, a co-production between Interart Theatre Development Series and MultiStages New Works Contests, is part of the League of Professional Theatre Women's "30 Plays Celebrate 30 Years Series". The cast features Richarda Abrams*, Jen Anaya, Debra Cardona* (Mary Poppins: National Tour, On The Twentieth Century: Goodspeed Opera House), Pedro Carmo (Pan Am), Veronica Cruz* (Ariel Dorfman's Widows: 59 E 59 St. Theatres), Alexis Lauren Kinney*, Lina Sarrello* and Alexis Sweeney. *(Members of Actors' Equity)

La MaMa To Present ANGELS OF SWEDENBORG 11/13

The final performance of Ping Chong's ANGELS OF SWEDENBORG -- his 1985 dance theatre piece being performed by La MaMa's Great Jones Repertory Company-- will be live-streamed on Sunday, November 13 starting at 2:30 p.m., it has been announced by La MaMa's Artistic Director Mia Yoo.
