Jerrod grew up in the small town of Liberal, Kansas. Like many rural communities, the economy relied on agriculture, and the weekend entertainment revolved around high school football. With the nearest major city almost three hours away, live music came in the form of acounty fair once a year. His parents worked hard to provide Jerrod, and his siblings with a stable and loving home environment. For most of hischildhood, his parents owned and operated a roller skating rink, which offered Jerrod his first real introduction to music.

In celebration of Loretta Lynn's 50th anniversary in the music business, Sheryl Crow and Miranda Lambert will perform together in a tribute to the legendary singer/songwriter on 'The 44th Annual CMA Awards.' Lambert and Crow will perform Lynn's classic signature song, 'Coal Miner's Daughter.'
