The Cotuit Center for the Arts has announced upcoming classes, events, concerts and auditions.

The 41st NAACP Image Awards nominees were announced today during a press conference at The SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills. Taye Diggs ('Private Practice' - ABC), Michael Strahan ('Brothers' - FOX) and 'FOX NFL Sunday'), Wanda Sykes ('The Wanda Sykes Show' - FOX), Kyle Massey ('That's SRaven,' 'Cory in the House' - Disney Channel), Chris Massey ('Zoey 101' - Nickelodeon) and Tatyana Ali (Young and the Restless - CBS) joined NAACP Image Awards Committee Chair, Clayola Brown, and Vicangelo Bulluck, Executive Producer of the telecast, to announce the categories and nominees. The 41st NAACP Image Awards will air live on Friday, February 26 (8:00 - 10:00 PM ET/PT Tape-Delayed) on FOX.

A new technology currently on trial in the West End will allow theatre attendees who do not speak the language used in the production to enjoy and understand the performance. The technology, called AirScript, wirelessly streams the script of the play, in real time, to a device that displays it in whatever language the user chooses, including French, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin, German, and English.

Lyric Stage, Dallas County's only locally produced professional musical theater company, continues its sixteenth season with FIORELLO!, October 10-25, 2008. Performances are Thursday-Saturday evenings @ 8:00 PM with matinees on Sundays @ 2:30 PM. There is also a matinee on Saturday, October 25 @ 2:30 PM.

The California State Conference of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will receive the Phyllis Lyon and Del Martin Marriage Equality Award at Equality California's (EQCA) 2007 San Francisco Equality Awards event on February 10.
