Victory Gardens Theater announces casting for each of the 2016 IGNITION Festival of New Plays selected works, including The Wayward Bunny by Greg Kotis; BREACH: a manifesto on race in America through the eyes of a black girl recovering from self-hate by Antoinette Nwandu; EOM (end of message) by Laura Jacqmin; Kill Move Paradise by James Ijames; Gaza Rehearsal by Karen Hartman; and Girls In Cars Underwater by Tegan McLeod.

? Due to popular demand, Grippo Stage Company's hit world premiere THE BEN HECHT SHOW will add four additional weeks of performances, extending through August 14, 2016 at the Piven Theatre at Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St. in Evanston.

Presenting a searing story of self-discovery, FST brings The God Of Isaac to the Gompertz stage to complete the 2016 Summer Mainstage Season. Written by James Sherman, this courageous and challenging journey of one man in search of answers runs from August 3 through August 21 in the Gompertz Theatre. There is something very special about James Sherman's play Beau Jest now playing at Theatre Three. It actually reminds me of the television shows of the 50's and 60's (I Love Lucy for example). There is no message to preach; it is just funny situations, great acting, witty dialog, and a lot of heart.
