Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director, presents a workshop production of the new musical The Black Suits with music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and book by Joe Iconis and Robert Emmett Maddock. The Black Suits is part of Barrington Stage's Musical Theatre Lab, William Finn, Artistic Producer. Directed by John Simpkins, choreographed by Jennifer Werner, with musical direction by James Sampliner, The Black Suits is currently running through September 2 at BSC's St. Germain Stage (formerly Stage 2). Today, July 9, at the New York Musical Theater Festival, director Michael Bush brings to life Jonathan Brielle's "Himself and Nora", a musical tale of one of the greatest romances of the 20th Century -Himself...the brilliant and hard drinking Irish novelist James Joyce, Nora...the passionate chambermaid Nora Barnacle who became his lover, his partner, and his muse for 29 years. In this bawdy and funny, uplifting, and melodic new musical, "Himself and Nora" sings the story of one of the great love affairs of the time. A love which resulted in their exile from their beloved Ireland, the condemnation of the Catholic church, and ultimately some of the greatest writing of the 20th century.

Love Travels is a mix of her original tunes, musical theatre favorites by such composers as Jason Robert Brown ('Still Hurting'), Adam Guettel ('Through The Mountain') and Stephen Schwartz (the special bonus track 'Defying Gravity') - each with a special twist - and reinventions of Reiber's favorite artists including Stevie Wonder ('Knocks Me Off My Feet'), Chaka Khan ('Stay'), John Mayer ('Back To You') and Joni Mitchell ('Little Green'). With a book by Darren Stein (writer and director of the film) and a score by Jeffrey Thomson and Jordan Mann (Jonathan Larson award winners), the cast includes Diana DeGarmo (Hair, Hairspray), Joanna Glushak (Les Miserables, Urinetown), Van Hughes (American Idiot, 9 to 5, Hairspray), Tracy McDowell (Rent), Ryah Nixon, Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu) and Libby Winters (American Idiot).
