Yusif Eyvazov will make his Met debut singing the role of Calàf in the performances of Puccini's Turandot on November 7 matinee and November 12. He replaces Fabio Sartori, who has withdrawn the role from his repertory.

RING OF FIRE is a jukebox musical based on the music of Johnny Cash. The main problem with the show's original concept was that it didn't tell the story of the Man in Black. The show originally used 38 musical numbers to try to portray 'a mosaic of American experience'. That original Broadway production only lasted a month.

Yonghoon Lee will sing the title role in this evening's performance of Verdi's Don Carlo, replacing Ricardo Tamura. As previously scheduled, Lee will sing the role in all remaining Met performances of the opera this season.

One of the most respected and versatile artists of her generation, Ms. Blythe recently starred as Gertrude Stein in the world premiere production of Ricky Ian Gordon's Twenty-Seven, an opera commissioned for her by the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. In 2013, Innova Records released Ms. Blythe's first crossover album As Long as There are Songs, featuring selections from the Great American Songbook arranged together with pianist Craig Terry. Together Ms. Blythe and Mr. Jones have performed recitals in major concert halls across the United States.
