New Englander Patrick Darrah Releases Debut Album 'Northern Truth'

The Theatre School at DePaul to Set ROMEO AND JULIET in the Landscape of Black Lives Matter

The Theatre School at DePaul University will present Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, and directed by Cameron Knight on the Fullerton Stage at The Theatre School at DePaul University. The production opens today, November 4th, and runs through Sunday, November 13, 2016. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on November 2 and 3 at 7:30 PM.

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present Elemeno Pea by Molly Smith Metzler in the Sondra and Denis Healy Theatre, located in The Theatre School building at Racine and Fullerton. The production is directed by Brian Balcom, MFA Directing candidate, Class of 2016. Opening Night is tonight, February 13, and the production will run through Sunday February 22, 2015. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on February 11 and 12, at 7:30 PM.

Brian d'Arcy James Joins Boston Priest Pedophile Drama SPOTLIGHT

Deadline writes that Brian d'Arcy James has joined the cast of Open Road's SPOTLIGHT, directed by Tom McCarthy. James will star alongside Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Aaron Eckhart, Liev Schreiber, Rachel McAdams and Stanley Tucci in the film, which centers on the Boston Globe's real-life investigation into pedophile priests in the Catholic Church.

METROFOCUS to Examine Three Tri-State Areas Still Affected by Hurricane Sandy, 2/27

It has been four months since Superstorm Sandy struck the New York area. This edition of MetroFocus takes a look at three regions affected by the storm that are still struggling to cope with the devastation. In Hoboken, NJ Today's David Cruz reports on the city's efforts to find new ways to prevent potential flooding from future storms. In Manhattan, two students from Columbia's University's School of Journalism return to the South Street Seaport where they first met the owners of the Paris Cafe after the storm. The restaurant still remains closed and many of the businesses are still boarded up. On Long Island, Jim Paymar, host of the Long Island Business Report, speaks with Randi Dresner, President and CEO of Island Harvest, about the non-profit food bank and its effort to feed hundreds of thousands of people after Sandy. The critics raved - in the Daily News, John Chapman wrote that Carnival was 'enchantment from the moment the houselights godown.' And so it was, pureenchantment, despite its darker elements - it ran on Broadway for 719 performances, and had a best-selling original cast recording (which debuted atnumber one on the Billboard chart) and 'Love Makes The World Go Round' became amuch-sung song, covered by many of the popular singers of the time. Carnival was nominated for seven Tony Awards, winning two(one for Alberghetti - in a tie with Diahann Carroll - and one for Will StevenArmstrong's scenic design). The show had a successful national tour, as well.
