Jake Najor and The Moment's New LP Out 3/29

Over the past twenty years, when musicians and producers in Southern California have needed fresh R&B, funk, or hip hop beats, they've called on drummer Jake Najor. A former bandmember of Breakestra, Incredible Moses Leroy, and The Styletones, Najor has performed or recorded with scores of noteworthy artists, including TV on the Radio, Raphael Saadiq, Kelis, Joss Stone, Big Daddy Kane, De La Soul, Karl Denson, Rodriguez and Empire of the Sun.

Leyla McCalla Releasing One Off Single On NOLA's Special Man Industries

The full network, including the TV channel and streaming apps on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV, will launch in January 28, 2019.

FREEFALL FROSTBITE Showcases Music At Feinstein's/54 Below

JFix Productions and Choreography presents music from the new musical, Freefall Frostbite, a show that had a successful Off-Broadway run last October at Theatre 80 at St Marks. The show will take place at Feinstein's/54 Below on October 16th at 9:30PM. Tickets can be purchased at the 54 Below website.

52 Emerging NYC Artists Chosen For Inaugural “Open Call”

Alex Poots, Artistic Director and CEO of The Shed, today announced that 52 emerging artists and collectives living or working in New York City have been commissioned to create new work as part of The Shed's inaugural Open Call program. Developed specifically for New York City artists who have not yet had opportunities to create new work with full support from a large cultural institution, Open Call is integral to The Shed's vision: to develop and present the full spectrum of performing arts, visual arts, and pop culture, under one roof, for all audiences. Open Call debuts in The Shed's 2019 season, with works continuing to be presented into 2020.

Michot's Melody Makers Playing Monday Night Residency At d.b.a. Throughout October Releasing Debut Album

Michot's Melody Makers, a trio led by its namesake Louis Michot (lead singer / fiddler with Grammy winners Lost Bayou Ramblers), will be celebrating therelease of its debut album with a month-long, Monday night residency at d.b.a. in New Orleans, immediately preceded by a Brooklyn performance. The album Blood Moon was recorded at Dockside Studios in Maurice, Louisiana this Summer, produced and engineered by Korey Richey (LCD Sound System, Lost Bayou Ramblers); featured guests include Colby Leger on accordion, Ashlee Michot on t-fer (triangle), and Bad Chad on percussion. Blood Moon is being issued on12' vinyl LP by Sinking City Records late this November.

Michot's Melody Makers Play July Residency at NOLA's Saturn Bar Every Monday

Michot's Melody Maker, the trio led by Louis Michot - lead singer/fiddler with the Grammy-winning Lost Bayou Ramblers - will be playing a Monday night residency at the Saturn Bar throughout the month of July, filling in for their pals King James & The Special Men. I'm hoping you'd consider advancing this show with a feature or advance blurb.

Ohmigod, you guys- the earworm that stays with you long after curtain call, that you find yourself looking for on Spotify on the drive home, but turn it off because it doesn't hold a candle to this version - is also my reaction to New Tampa Players' production of the musical Legal Blonde The Musical. This show is brilliant and Chelsie Camaro Smith proves she has star power!
