Artistic Director, Peter Evans, has announced the first production for 2017 for Bell Shakespeare.

On Saturday August 22, the Old Fitz will be buzzing with exciting talent in hopes of enticing supporters along to help raise money to keep the legendary venue alive. Seven one-hour sessions of theatre will be staged back-to-back in the theatre space while canapes and drinks will be served in the upstairs bar. There'll be plenty of raffles and prizes on offer too. All entertainment on the day will be of high quality and will include many of the local community arts organisations and individuals. Every dollar raised will contribute to the future of Red Line Productions, ensuring they continue the important work they are contributing to the Australian arts scene.

Following the recent 15th birthday celebrations for MAMMA MIA! in London, there will be major cast changes from Monday 9 June 2014. Rebecca Lock will be joining the cast as Rosie, Alasdair Harvey as Harry, Charles Daish as Bill and Alice Stokoe as Sophie Sheridan and Lloyd Green as Sky. Also joining the cast from 9 June will be Rosanna Bates as Ali, Brodie McBride as Lisa, James Alexander Gibbs as Pepper and James Alan-Evans as Eddie. Dianne Pilkington will continue to star as Donna Sheridan, with Kim Ismay as Tanya and Richard Trinder as Sam. At certain performances, the role of Donna Sheridan will be played by Shona White. Best of Friends was due in London last summer as The Golden Voice, starring Darren Day. Scheduled to open at the Arts Theatre, it was delayed multiple times before it was eventually cancelled. Actors' union Equity then launched legal action in an attempt to claim back unpaid cast wages.
