The Broadway company of 'Driving Miss Daisy' has announced that their Special Benefit Performance for The Actors Fund will be dedicated to the memory of Lynn and Corin Redgrave. The benefit performance is scheduled for Monday, February 7 at 8 pm. All proceeds will go to The Actors Fund.

BWW just recently launched a photo store to benefit BC/EFA featuring stunning images of Broadway's brightest stars. The unique feature gives readers a chance to purchase prints of our photos since the web site launched back in 2003. Previously only available at BC/EFA's Flea Markets, where we often sold out of images, we're now making a selection of photos available for purchase online and just like at the Flea Market, a portion of all proceeds will go straight to BC/EFA.

The Broadway company of 'Driving Miss Daisy' has announced that they will add a ninth performance to their already scheduled eight-show week in order to perform a benefit performance on Monday, February 7 at 8 pm. All proceeds will go to The Actors Fund.

Jones will make remarks about Dr. King at the program, which will also include City Council Speaker Christine Quinn. The event will take place at Martin Luther King Jr. High School (122 Amsterdam Avenue) at 8:00 AM.

Opera Index presents its 2011 Distinguished Achievement Award to two pioneering Metropolitan Opera artists-tenor George Shirley and posthumously to the late mezzo-soprano Shirley Verrett-at its 27th annual black-tie winter gala on Sunday, January 16. The gala begins at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Grand Salon of the Jumeirah Essex House, the luxury hotel on Central Park South, following a reception in the Petit Salon. The awards will be presented by bass-baritone Spiro Malas. Last year's Distinguished Achievement Award recipient was soprano Patrice Munsel.

Producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that their premiere Broadway production of Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy, which is playing to sold out houses at the Golden Theatre (252 W45th Street), has recouped its initial investment of $2.6 million in less than three months, making it the first play of the 2010-11 Broadway season to celebrate recoupment.

Holden's Pregnancy Will Not Affect West End's SHREK

According to a report from What's On Stage, though SHREK star Amanda Holden has announced that she is currently six months pregnant, timing for the upcoming production will not be altered. The Britain's Got Talent Judge will will not take any time off after the birth of her second child, allowing her to attend every perfomance when the show begins previews in May. Rehearsal schedules are currently being changed to fit 'Princess Fiona's' new circumstances.
