San Diego Opera's 2023-2024 Season opens with the exciting return of soprano Latonia Moore and mezzo-soprano J'Nai Bridges on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 7:30 PM in concert at the Balboa Theatre with the San Diego Symphony. Both Latonia and J'Nai performed at San Diego Opera early in their careers, coming together in 2016 for a production of Madama Butterfly, where Latonia sang Cio-Cio San and J'Nai performed Suzuki.

Vancouver Symphony Orchestra USA have announced that award-winning concert pianist and Distinguished Professor of Piano & Artist-in-Residence of the Cleveland Institute of Music, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, will join Maestro Salvador Brotons and the VSO in performing Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 on September 23rd and September 24th.

On Sunday, July 23, Mr. Naldi will celebrate his 50th anniversary season, with a special solo recital at the Bishop Janes Tabernacle. Showtime is 3 PM, and the recital is free. Bishop Janes Tabernacle is located on Auditorium Square in Ocean Grove, NJ.

OPERA America has announced grants totaling $200,000 to six American opera companies through its Next Stage Grants program.

​​​​​​​New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) hosts its annual spring gala, Feelin' Groovy: Songs from the 60s, on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Racquet & Tennis Club on Park Avenue. In support of NYFOS's 35th season, the gala features a performance of songs by Laura Nyro, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell and the Beatles, along with some Motown hits.

New York Festival of Song will host its annual spring gala, Feelin’ Groovy: Songs from the 60s, on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Racquet & Tennis Club on Park Avenue.

At 7:30pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023, LA Opera's production of the towering operatic masterpiece will be transmitted live in high-definition video from nine cameras at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to large LED screens at California State University, Dominguez Hills and the Santa Monica Pier.

The Colburn School's Ziering-Conlon Initiative for Recovered Voices,  a unique Colburn resource that encourages greater awareness and more frequent performances of music by composers whose careers and lives were destroyed by the Nazi regime, brings important repertory back to life through four upcoming performances that feature the works of Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Arnold Schoenberg, Franz Schreker, Alexander von Zemlinsky, and Herbert Zipper.

The 39th season of the Schwabacher Recital Series, presented by San Francisco Opera Center and the Merola Opera Program, opens on March 1 with soprano Meigui Zhang and pianist John Churchwell and continues on March 22 with a program curated by Nicholas Phan featuring five San Francisco Opera Adler Fellows and Merola alumni.

The Cincinnati May Festival has announced that Director of  Choruses Robert Porco will conclude his remarkable 35-season tenure with the May Festival in the 2023-24 season, after which he will be named Director of Choruses Emeritus. 

Honoring trailblazing women in classical music who inspire the next generation, the Music Institute of Chicago hosts its Annual Gala Benefit on Monday, May 15 at 5:30 p.m. at The Peninsula Chicago, 108 E. Superior Street, Chicago. Event highlights include the presentation of the prestigious Dushkin Award to Maestra Marin Alsop, the Cultural Visionary Award for Chicago to Karen Gray-Krehbiel and John Krehbiel, Jr., and the Richard D. Colburn Award for Teaching Excellence to Barbara Ann Martin.

Now in its 39th year, the Schwabacher Recital Series, presented by San Francisco Opera Center and the Merola Opera Program, returns this spring with a series of four recitals (March 1, March 22, April 12 and May 18) at San Francisco's Dianne and Tad Taube Atrium Theater and San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Barbro Osher Recital Hall.

As Holocaust Remembrance Day approaches, The Colburn School is proud to announce that it has received a prestigious Save America's Treasures grant to preserve and digitize the Herbert and Trudl Zipper Archive at Colburn. Herbert Zipper, for whom Colburn's Zipper Hall is named, was a pioneer of the community music movement and had a deep commitment that every student should be able to participate in the performing arts.

San Diego Opera's 2022-2023 Season continues with The Puccini Duo: a double-bill of the tragic Suor Angelica and the witty comic opera Gianni Schicchi on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the San Diego Civic Theatre for four performances. Additional performances are February 14, 17, and 19 (matinee), 2023. All evening performances take place at 7:30 PM, matinees at 2 PM.

The Oratorio Society of New York (OSNY), led by Music Director Kent Tritle, continues its 2022–23 season with its 148th performance of Handel's Messiah on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. This year's performance includes soloists soprano Maria Brea, contralto Heather Petrie, tenor Joshua Blue, and baritone Jesse Blumberg, together with the Orchestra of the Society.

The Cincinnati May Festival has announced complete details for  its 150th anniversary in 2023, including programs and featured soloists for performances in April and  May 2023 and local artist and ensemble participants for its 25 for 25: A New Time for Choral Music commissioning project.
