Today we are talking to a notable presence on Broadway and in Hollywood who has appeared in countless celebrated entities - ranging from her Tony Award-winning work in BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE and in the original cast of Harold Pinter's BETRAYAL on Broadway along with dozens of other credits; to starring in feature films like THE PRINCE OF TIDES with Barbra Streisand, and, perhaps most famously the MEET THE FOCKERS franchise; to her newest star turn to date, that of featured player in the hit original Gershwin revue NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT - the elegant and accomplished Blythe Danner. Emmy Award nominee Stefanie Powers will now play the role of legendary actress Tallulah Bankhead on the national tour of LOOPED. She replaces Valerie Harper, who was advised by doctors to take an immediate medical leave after having recently been hospitalized; she has flown back to Los Angeles with her husband Tony Cacciotti where she will receive continuing treatment and medical care.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the lineup for the upcoming 13th edition of FILM COMMENT SELECTS (February 18-28), Film Comment magazine's essential and eclectic film festival.

AMC announced today the renewal of HELL ON WHEELS for a third season with John Wirth ("V" "Fallen Skies" "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") serving as executive producer and showrunner. Written by two-time Academy Award-winner William Goldman (who wrote the screenplay for Misery as well as The Princess Bride, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), based on the acclaimed novel by Stephen King and directed by Will Frears (Coach, Year Zero), MISERY will play a limited developmental engagement of 11 performances only, tonight, November 24th through December 8th.

Will Ferrell ('Anchorman,' 'Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby') stars in the ELF, a comedy about a man raised as an elf at the North Pole who is sent to New York in search of his true identity, to be rebroadcast Saturday, Dec. 15 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Since bursting onto the New York musical theater scene in 1995 with his short-lived, but highly-praised Off-Broadway revue Songs For a New World, and then winning a 1999 Tony Award for Best Score for another short-lived show, Parade, pundits have been consistently predicting Jason Robert Brown's membership into the musical theater composer pantheon. While he has quite made it there yet, this week at his concerts at 54 Below (September 11-15), Brown offered a preview of songs from upcoming musicals that could finally allow him entree among the gods of Broadway musical composing.
