Four Thrillers Released by Class Act Books for October

In keeping with the general Halloween atmosphere, Class Act Books is releasing four new novels this month, all with a mystery-thriller theme. Each book is also a new entry in a series.
"Shadow Revealed" by Tony-Paul de Vissage heads the list. This novel is number 8 in the Second Species series which will complete next month with the ninth and final entry. The first book in the series, "Shadow Lord," was named one of the Top Ten horror novels of 2013 by Preditors and Editors Readers Poll for that year.
"Death is Magical" by RW Weiss, is another Hugh Winslow mystery, set in Lodgepole, Montana. Bringing more of that town's quirky characters and unusual happenings, this story ties together the death of a racehorse and jockey in England with the murder of one of Lodgepole's long-time residents. It is the fourth in the series.
Debut novelist Linda "Burson's Rage" brings the story of a woman whose title emotion embroils her in deception, murder, and heartbreak.
In Jack Frost's novel "Stacked Deck," detective Jake Coleman enters another struggle against Louisiana gangsters as he aids New Orleans District Attorney Trey Greeley's bid for governor. Politics, betrayal, and murder definitely mix in this third entry in the series.

Class Act Books Announces New Releases

On August 15, Class Act Books announced its releases for this month. They include another entry in the series The Second Species, and also a new author for the CAB imprint, as well as a debuting author.
'Shadow Avenged' by Tony-Paul de Vissage, is the sixth book of the Second Species series.
The series which follows the search of vampire Marek Strigoi for the murderer of his family., Book 6 is a pivotal novel in which Marek and the killer come face-to-face and the scholar-turned-hunter has to make the decision to become as ruthless a killer as the man he's seeking or show his family's killer more mercy than he gave them.
The dark urban fantasy/horror novel is the author's 17th novel published by Class Act Books. The first in the series, Shadow Lord, was voted one of the Top Ten horror novels of 2013 by Preditors and Editors Readers Poll, and also placed 3rd n the Maryland Romance Writers 'Reveal Your Inner Vixen' contest in 2009.
'Commonwealth' by Michael D. Smith is a Dystopia Black Comedy of a United States in which there are no private ownerships. Anyone can ask for anything and possess it for a month, after which someone else can claim it and take it away.
Michael D. Smith was raised in the Chicago area but currently lives in Texas where he is Technology Librarian for McKinney Public Library in McKinney, Texas. His work there includes eBook and audiobook acquisitions. He also teaches classes in using e-readers. He is also author of the science fiction Jack Commer series.
'Dead Man's Hand' is a Mystery Noir series set in New Orleans and is the debut novel of Jack Frost. It is the first entry in the Jake Coleman Mystery series.
Jack is a native of central Louisiana, where he retired in 2004 after forty-plus years in television news. He currently lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is host of 'Seniors Everyday' on Lincoln's Channel 10/11.
Class Act Books is celebrating its second year under new ownership, in which its goal is to supply quality fiction in all genres to the reading public.

After a brief hiatus in 2014, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre and Children's Theatre is preparing to host its next Princess Breakfast, The Royal Snow Ball. Once again, it is time for all of the young princesses and their families to gather at Way Off Broadway as the Snow Princess invites them all to her Royal Ball. Filled with songs, laughs, and lots of entertainment, it is a fun morning for the entire family to enjoy together. The Prince Breakfast is one of the hottest summer tickets in town and with a little bit of Way Off Broadway magic, anything can happen. If Jack Frost makes an appearance, there is usually a bit of mischief around the corner.

Columbia Children's Theatre (CCT), the Midlands' only professional theatre for families and young audiences will present the world premiere of the new musical Jack Frost, December 5-14. Show times are Friday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturdays at 10:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.; and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. All shows are held at Columbia Children's Theatre on the 2nd level of Richland Mall, 3400 Forest Drive.
