The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY has unveiled the artist lineup and program schedule for the highly anticipated PRELUDE.12, the ninth annual PRELUDE festival dedicated to artists at the forefront of contemporary New York City theatre, dance, interdisciplinary and mediatized performance. In its largest lineup ever, PRELUDE.12 will present over 40 short performances, readings, and screenings -as well as panel discussions with artists, scholars and performers.

Each edition of The Meeting* honors a different gay icon; the September show will pay tribute to Disco chart-topper Sylvester with special guests Bridget Everett, Ben Rimalower and Xavier. As part of the 2012 Crossing the Line festival, its annual interdisciplinary festival of contemporary arts, the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) presents the Lecture/Performance Series information as performance, and vice-versa.

Daniel Nardicio will present a special show by Justin Sayre, host of The Meeting* at the Ice Palace as part of the Icon Series (also featured this summer have been Liza Minnelli, Sandra Bernhard, Margaret Cho and more) tonight, August 25 at 10:00 PM.

This September, Bard College will launch a residency and commissioning program for the performing arts, Live Arts Bard (LAB). LAB is a partnership between the Theater and Performance Program and the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, and will be run under the leadership of Gideon Lester, the college's new Director of Theater Programs.

The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, today announces the full program for Crossing the Line 2012, the sixth annual edition of its highly acclaimed fall festival presenting interdisciplinary works and performances by artists from around the world. Crossing the Line takes place this year from September 14-October 14 in venues throughout New York City. Nespresso is the Presenting Sponsor of Crossing the Line 2012. Tickets go on sale August 1.
