WWII Veterans Enjoy 'South Pacific' as Guests of 'Times Square Nurse' More than 50 World War II veterans and their wives began their July 4th weekend with a special reception in their honor held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles last Saturday (July 3) and the matinee performance of 'South Pacific' as guests of the late Edith Shain, the 'Times Square Nurse' who passed away on June 20 at age 91.

Two New York premieres will be featured in a concert by the Temple
University Symphony Orchestra on Friday, April 9, 2010, at 8 p.m. in
Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall (Broadway at 65th St., Manhattan).
One of the works, Ansel Adams: America (in its New York premiere) by
jazz great Dave Brubeck and his son, Chris, will feature 100 projected
images by the eminent American photographer. The all-American program
also includes works by Bill Cunliffe (also a New York premiere),
Samuel Barber, and Leonard Bernstein.

TV Guide is reporting that Rosie Perez has been added to an already starry list of guest stars for the return of Law & Order: SVU, which begins its season on September 23. Previously announced was the news that Eric McCormack, Jessica Walter and Stephen Rea will guest-star in the new season of Law & Order: SVU.
