The audience at Hayes Theatre are transported to a smoky 1920's Bowery district Speakeasy with their latest cabaret offering, IRVING BERLIN: SONGS IN THE KEY OF BLACK which merges the fabulous voice of Lucy Maunder with the music of one of the greatest American songwriters.
The 2015/16 Season at Syracuse Stage is bookended with comedies. Opening the season in October is Steve Martin's farcical romp The Underpants. The season will close in May 2016 with a brand new madcap comedy spoof of Sherlock Holmes' most famous case in Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: a Sherlock Holmes Mystery.

On April 13th, The 24 Hour Company® is teaming with the Exchange, an off-Broadway theater company, to create the seventh 24 Hour Musicals. A team of more than 100 - including stars from Broadway, film, television, and music - will cast, write, compose, direct, rehearse, tech, and perform four original musicals - all in the obscenely short time between an evening meet-and-greet on Sunday, April 12 and show time on Monday, April 13 at 8pm. The Music Hall has announced nine new shows to its already robust and diverse lineup. New shows include Music Hall fan favorite Boz Scaggs, prolific post-punk pioneer Kristin Hersh (Throwing Muses), and popular country music singers The Secret Sisters.
Kate Baldwin and Conor Ryan, the stars of the Keen Company production of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa, will head over to the recording studio on April 6th, to preserve the 2015 Off-Broadway Cast Recording for Broadway Records. A June 16th release is planned. Andrew Lippa and Michael Croiter will produce the album. Musical Director is Lily Lang. This recording will include the premiere of the new song, "Trouble with Men,' as well as new orchestrations and two songs from the score never before recorded.
