Two NYC Tappers Will Dance Onstage in DAMES AT SEA After Monday's Contest

Over 100 people mobbed the Helen Hayes Theatre, stopping traffic on West 44th Street for the box office opening of the musical comedy Dames at Sea yesterday, August 31. What caused the disturbance? Under the Broadway Theater's marquee, tap dancers were competing for a chance to tap on stage with the cast of Dames at Sea during a performance.

Good Theater to Stage NO BIZ LIKE SHOW BIZ, Beginning 9/23

Good Theater, the professional theater company in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, kicks off its 14th season on September 23 with the original musical revue, NO BIZ LIKE SHOW BIZ.  This show is a tribute to Mary Martin and Ethel Merman starring three singers:  Marie Dittmer, Lynne McGhee and Jen Means.

Tickets to CPCC Theatre's Upcoming Season Now on Sale

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Theatre announces individual tickets are now on sale for its upcoming season. This year, the troupe will bring an incredible lineup of quality shows, such as "The Phantom of the Opera," at prices the entire family can enjoy. Tickets are available for $18 for all Pease Auditorium productions and $18 and $20 for performances in the Halton Theater, with tickets for children under the age of 15 available for $10. In addition, parking is free for all shows.

Arizona Theatre, Stray Cat to Present New Comedy SEX WITH STRANGERS This Fall

Arizona Theatre Company, in a special collaboration with Stray Cat Theatre, will present Laura Eason's new comedy about the calculations people are making to find love or fame in an age of social media, brightly-lit phone screens and blogging. SEX WITH STRANGERS plays Sept. 24-Oct. 11 in Stage West at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe.

Hershey Felder Plans Full Season of Shows at Royal George Theatre

Hershey Felder is setting up camp on Royal George Theatre's mainstage for a full season of shows starting September 8. The Casting Society of America (CSA) has revealed its first-round nominees for the 31st Annual Artios Awards across the theater, television, web series and short film categories. All winners will be announced at the 31st Annual Artios Awards at the height of awards season on Thursday, January 21, 2016.

David Ives' A FLEA IN HER EAR Begins 9/6 at A Noise Within

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, presents the Southern California regional premiere of Georges Feydeau's classic French farce, A Flea in Her Ear - considered the greatest of French farces -- in a new version written by David Ives. Directed by Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, the show begins previews on September 6 and plays through November 22, 2015 (opens on September 12). Flea is the first production in A Noise Within's 2015-2016 BREAKING & ENTERING season, and is followed by the world premiere translation/adaptation of Jean Anouilh's Antigone by Robertson Dean (September 20 to November 20) and All My Sons by Arthur Miller, the Company's contribution to the global Miller Centennial Celebration(October 11-November 21).

West End's ELF Announces Complete Cast - Ben Forster, Kimberley Walsh and More!

The full cast for the London premiere of the smash hit musical ELF has been announced. The company is led by Ben Forster as Buddy, Kimberley Walsh as Jovie, Joe McGann as Walter Hobbs and Jessica Martin as Emily Hobbs, with Jennie Dale as Deb, Mark McKerracher as Santa and Graham Lappin as Store Manager. Also in the cast are Katie Bradley, Charlie Bull, Nicola Coates, Alex Fobbester, Anton Fosh, Charlotte Gale, Francis Haugen, Matt Holland, Tash Holway, Paul Hutton, Mark Iles, Ceili O'Connor, Debbie Paul, Joanna Rennie, Barnaby Thompson and Ed White. Harry Collett, Ilan Galkoff, Noah Key and Ewan Rutherford will alternate the role of Michael.
