King's Head Theatre Artistic Director Adam Spreadbury-Maher announces the theatre's work for the first 6 months of 2015, including a new play directed by Mike Bradwell, and the 21st anniversary production of Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting, with a 9-actor Edinburgh cast, plus, the long awaited stage premiere of Richard O'Brien's Shock Treatment, the equal/sequel to his cult hit The Rocky Horror Show.

Rumble Theatre presents Tremors: a one of a kind festival featuring emerging directors, stage managers, designers, technicians and actors under the guidance of local theatre professionals. Each night, three shows (Trainspotting, This is War, and The 4th Graders Present an Unnamed Love-Suicide) are performed simultaneously in different spaces in the Russian Hall. When the shows are over, everyone sticks around for a big after-show party with the artists which will include (depending on the night) slam poetry, a drag show, burlesque or live music. It's the Fringe meets HIVE - with a twist, and three bars. Tremors runs tonight, November 12 through the 15th, 2014.

Irvine Welsh's classic novel Trainspotting, which in 1996 was adapted as both a feature film by Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle and a play by Harry Gibson, will come to the Chicago stage in October in a new American adaptation of Gibson's play. This new version of Welsh's graphic and uncompromising story of young heroin addicts living in Edinburgh, Scotland has been re-imagined and set in Kansas City, Missouri.

The 60th edition of the San Sebastian Festival will this year bestow its Donostia Awards on actors John Travolta, Ewan McGregor and Tommy Lee Jones and the Special 60th Anniversary Donostia Award going to director Oliver Stone. In 1969, Jones made his Broadway debut in John Osborne's A Patriot for Me. His other Broadway appearances include Four on a Garden and Ulysses in Nighttown.
