The Irish Arts Center opens its 2011 Fall season with the US Premiere of Irish playwright Deirde Kinahan's ‘BogBoy', an OFF BROADWAY, Tall Tales Theatre Company & Solstice Arts Centre (both from Navan, Ireland) production that runs at the Irish Arts Center from September 7th as part of the New York City wide 1st Irish Festival and Imagine Ireland, Culture Ireland's year of Irish arts in America.

Photo Flash: First Look at Old Globe's ENGAGING SHAW Cast

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of John Morogiello's comedy Engaging Shaw. Directed by Henry Wishcamper, Engaging Shaw will run July 29 - Sept. 4 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of The Old Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run July 29 - Aug. 3. Opening night is Thursday, Aug. 4 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheOldGlobe.org, by phone at (619) 23-GLOBE or by visiting the Box Office at 1363 Old Globe Way in Balboa Park.

2011 Dora Mavor Moore Award Winners Announced

The 32nd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards for the 2010/2011 season were handed out in a star-studded ceremony in Toronto on the evening of Monday, June 27 at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts' Bluma Appel Theatre, co-hosted by Gemini-nominated comedian/writer/actor Craig Lauzon of CBC-TV's Royal Canadian Air Farce and actress Michaela Washburn, Dora-nominated for her principal role in Theatre Passe Muraille's Such Creatures.

Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre presented its 2011 Annual Benefit Gala, a concert performance on Broadway of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's CAMELOT yesterday, June 6 at The Shubert Theatre. Charlotte Moore, who directed last year's acclaimed concert staging of BRIGADOON on Broadway and helms the Irish Repertory's current production of Dion Boucicault's THE SHAUGHRAUN, adapted and directed.
