The New York Philharmonic has announced the 2016-17 season's Insights at the Atrium series, free events exploring themes of the Philharmonic's concert season through multimedia lectures, conversations, and panel discussions. Expanding to eight events this season, Insights at the Atrium has gained in popularity since its inception in 2011, helping thousands of audience members delve more deeply into the music, musicians, and ideas featured in the Philharmonic's season through a dynamic and accessible forum. Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, now celebrating its milestone 50th season, will make select concerts accessible beyond the New York campus and to a wider audience this summer through a radio broadcast and video livestreams.

The fifth and final week of Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival concludes the celebration of its milestone 50th anniversary season with seven performances, including the revival of Mark Morris's triumphant and acclaimed Mozart Dances as well as three unique contemporary music events featuring the International Contemporary Ensemble.

The acclaimed Calidore String Quartet caps their artistic residency at Stony Brook University with a Carnegie Hall debut performance today, May 10th at 8 p.m. in Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall. The concert propels the quartet into their next high-profile residency with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center II, slated to begin in the 2016 fall concert season. CSQ is the first North American ensemble to be awarded the prestigious Borletti-Buitoni fellowship. Lincoln Center's Spring Gala took place on Monday, April 11, at Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Steven A. Kandarian and MetLife were honored. There were 470 guests and nearly $3 million was raised. Since 1997, MetLife's sponsorship of Live From Lincoln Center has been instrumental to the series' success, and has enabled Lincoln Center to bring this program to hundreds of millions of people across the nation, building new audiences for the arts.

The San Francisco Symphony returns to Carnegie Hall with Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas for two concerts on Wednesday, April 13 at 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 14 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. For the first performance, Mr. Tilson Thomas - widely considered the world's premier interpreter of the works of Aaron Copland - conducts music by the American master, including his Orchestral Variations and Inscape. The dynamic pianist Inon Barnatan joins the orchestra for a performance of Copland's Piano Concerto. The program concludes with Schumann's Symphony No. 2 in C Major, Op. 61. This season, Mr. Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony are performing and recording the complete Schumann symphonies for future release on SFS Media.
