2013 Is Record-Breaking Year for RIAA's Gold & Platinum Program

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) added song streams to its Gold & Platinum (G&P) Program in 2013 which helped fuel a record-breaking 663 Digital Single Awards - a 25 percent increase in Digital Single Awards year-over-year and the most in G&P history, according to RIAA's year-end certifications tally.

CMT will celebrate a remarkable year in country music by honoring Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes and Tim McGRaw as 2013's country music artists of the year in the 90-minute special, CMT ARTISTS OF THE YEAR, premiering LIVE for the first time tonight, December 3 at 8:00 p.m., ET.
