Shattered Globe Theatre is pleased to open its 25th season with a 25th anniversary production of MARVIN'S ROOM, Chicago playwright Scott McPherson's award-winning dark and mordantly funny comedy about putting family first, directed by Producing Artistic Director Sandy Shinner. MARVIN'S ROOM will play tonight, October 1 - November 14, 2015 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Two lonely people find each other in a nursing home, they hit it off, and a congenial conversation leads to a series of card games. But in that sequestered and artificial world, low stakes become high. When one's life is over, without being over, what else could happen? Both characters are complex, vulnerable, and proud. With each hand, their regrets and hostilities rise to the surface.

The producers for the new Broadway production of D.L. The production, originally scheduled to start previews on September 18, will start previews on Wednesday, September 23.

Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, The Gin Game, starring Tony Award-winners James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson.   The Gin Game, directed by Leonard Foglia (Master Class, Thurgood) opens Tuesday, October 13 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue).  Previews begin Friday, September 18.  The production will play a limited engagement through Sunday, January 10, 2016.
