Freddie Tapner is the founder and Principal Conductor of London Musical Theatre Orchestra (LMTO). As well as conducting LMTO at their professional engagements, he performs in and around London and sits on the Developmental Board for the National Youth Music Theatre.

London Musical Theatre Orchestra is proud to announce its 2018 season which features three spectacular musicals in concert: Tony Award-winning Camelot by Lerner and Loewe at the London Palladium; Girlfriends, composed by Emmy Award-winner Howard Goodall and starring Lucie Jones and Lauren Samuels, at Bishopsgate Institute; and the return of festive favourite A Christmas Carol at the Lyceum Theatre. The concerts follow London Musical Theatre Orchestra and Hackney Empire's presentation of Martin Smith's King at Hackney Empire.

Full casting has been announced for the sensational feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! which comes to Palace Theatre, Manchester from 3rd - 14th July 2018 as part of its international tour. Shona White (Donna Sheridan), Nicky Swift (Rosie), Helen Anker (Tanya), Tamlyn Henderson (Sam Carmichael), Daniel Crowder (Harry Bright), Matthew Rutherford (Bill Austin), Lucy May Barker (Sophie Sheridan), Phillip Ryan (Sky), Leisha Mollyneaux (Ali), Lottie Henshall (Lisa), Matt Jordan-Pidgeon (Pepper) and Michael Nelson (Eddie) will star in the production. At certain performances the role of Donna Sheridan will be played by Natalie Langston.

The UK premiere of The Last Ship - the acclaimed musical by the internationally renowned musician Sting - just opened at Northern Stage in Newcastle. The production has a TONY-nominated original score and lyrics composed by Sting. It will play a 4-week season in Newcastle before embarking on a major UK & Ireland Tour. 

Concerts at Saint Thomas presents acclaimed conductor Stephen Darlington and The Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, for an evening of British choral masterpieces at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue on April 6. The choir will perform works by Handel, Purcell, Byrd (including his haunting Mass for Four Voices), and more as a part of Stephen Darlington's farewell tour after more than 40 years of association with Christ Church.

James Nelson-Joyce  is to co-star with the previously announced Julian Clary in the world premiere of the two-handed black comedy, Le Grand Mort.

YANK! is based on the Off-Broadway hit production from 2010, with book and lyrics by American writer David Zellnik, with his brother Joseph Zellnik's musical score paying homage to the timeless music of the 1940s. The musical is directed by James Baker, and is produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment, Hope Mill Theatre, Ben Millerman with Jim Kierstead and Guy James. Julian Clary is to star in the world premiere of the black comedy Le Grand Mort.

PBS will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking Beatles album with a new documentary, SGT. PEPPER'S MUSICAL REVOLUTION, a look back at the creation and ongoing influence of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, released on June 1, 1967.

One of the true masterpieces of modern cinema, Federico Fellini's 1957 Oscar-winning film, LA STRADA (The Road), is being brought life on stage in a brand new adaptation directed by Olivier Award nominee Sally Cookson, with music composed by Benji Bower. The production received its world premiere at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, followed by a national tour. The show opened on 30 May in its London premiere at The Other Palace, the newest addition to Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Theatre Group, where it will run until 8 July 2017. Composer Howard Goodall's remarkable career ranges from lauded choral works to West End musical Bend It Like Beckham, the Emmy Award-winning score for HBO film Into the Storm, and themes for beloved British TV shows like Mr Bean, Blackadder, Red Dwarf and QI. On 20 November, Goodall's Eternal Light: A Requiem makes its New York debut at Carnegie Hall, presented by Distinguished Concerts International New York and performed by ensembles from both America and the UK.
